| The objective of this work was to evaluate the performance of 15 clones of the IAC 500 series of Hevea brasiliensis, developed at Instituto Agronômico (IAC), over a 12-year period, in the northwest region of São Paulo State, Brazil. The 15 new clones evaluated are primary clones obtained from selected ortets within half-sib progenies. The clone RRIM 600, of Malaysian origin, was used as the control. Dry rubber yield performance over a four-year period, mean girth at the tenth year, girth increment before and during tapping, thermal properties of the natural rubber produced and other characters of the laticiferous system were evaluated. | Breeding cycle in rubber extends to 20-30 years between pollination and yield assessment, distributed over three selection stages. Five hectares of small scale trial of rubber tree [Hevea brasiliensis (Willd. ex Adr. de Juss.) Muell.-Arg.], was established in the Northwestern region of São Paulo State, Brazil. The population comprises 98 clones mostly derived from intensively selected plus tree in the natural forest of rubber tree in the Amazon. | Verificou-se a ação do dióxido de carbono dissolvido na água de irrigação e da enxertia do tomateiro no transporte de 15N nos tecidos da planta e na produção da cultura. Os tratamentos foram constituídos pela aplicação de CO2, 5 e 10 L min-1, mais a testemunha (dose zero) e plantas enxertadas e pés-francos de tomateiro. O experimento foi conduzido no delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 3x2, com três repetições. As variáveis analisadas nas folhas e nos frutos da planta foram a produção de massa seca, o nitrogênio total, o excesso de 15N, a quantidade de nitrogênio proveniente do fertilizante e a porcentagem de recuperação do fertilizante e a produção de frutos comerciais. | Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) cultivation in regeneration areas of a sugarcane field, under different soil management systems and N fertilization regimes. Two experiments were carried out in the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 harvest seasons, in areas of sugarcane plantation in Andradina, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Cultivations were performed in a randomized complete block design, with plots and subplots, and four replicates. The plots represented the tillage systems (conventional, minimum tillage, and no-tillage), and the subplots, the different N fertilization rates (0, 100, 200, and 300 kg ha-1) applied as topdressing.
